Vintage Chinese shard box made of tooled silver wrapping a fragment of vintage hand painted chinese porcelain with orange koi fish. A way of preserving a unique piece of history these shard boxes were created to hold fragments of antique pottery usually 19th century pieces, many of which were destroyed in the 70's and in the 80's were retooled into unique pieces. Each piece is unique and highly collectible.
